This will be a weekend of snorkelling at Diggers camp. If conditions are OK there may be the chance of some shore dives. Depending on numbers and interest, we can also look into boat diving the North Solitary Islands out of Wooli. Organised as a laid-back and relaxing weekend camping at Boorkoom campground (camping area within the Yuraygir National Park - https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/.../boorkoom-campground) right beside the Diggers rock platform. There are other accommodation options within a reasonable distance (Wooli) if camping is not your thing. Please mark as going in the event, and we will get in contact with more details. 

This is a chance to try scuba out in a safe environment. Over the course of an hour we will show you the equipment, help you take your first breaths underwater and experience the sensation of scuba diving. The cost is $5 for UNE students and $10 for non-students. Once you sign up by securing a free ticket below, we will e-mail you with details about payment and confirming your spot. Equipment required on the day is usual swimming attire and a t-shirt to wear in the pool. All other equipment is supplied. There is no need to be a strong swimmer, but you do need to be comfortable in the water. We look forward to seeing you on the day

This is a favorite trip. We have picked this weekend for favorable tides. Diving will be shore diving - the sites are excellent for shore diving - with the option of a night dive. This is also an ideal location for our snorkelling members. The club has kit to hire and accommodation will be an air bnb. As we need to book accommodation we need confirmations for this trip early. This trip is open for signing onto  For the June long weekend, we are heading North for better weather! The plan is to dive with Tweed Heads Scuba and will do 2 dives a day on Saturday and Sunday. The boat heads out for dives at 6am and 11.10am - returning to shore between dives.  Dive sites will be the Cook Island or 9-mile reef. Double dives cost $175, with tanks and weights included. The club has kit for those needing to hire kit. The plan for Monday is a local shore dive before heading back to Armidale. Accommodation will be decided once we know the numbers on the trip - we can either get an air bnb for there is accommodation above the dive shop. This is one of the bigger trips of the year, and we need commitment for this trip early to avoid having to cancel it. Saturday will be snorkeling at the Witches off Sandy beach (https://maps.app.goo.gl/nmVybnDcMnTYD36N6 ) This site is perfect for anyone who may be taking their first step into snorkelling in the ocean. Depths are as shallow as waist depth. At low tide the outer rocks create a flat lagoon like area for snorkelling. Sunday will be boat diving with Jetty dive out at the South Solitary Islands. If you have not dived here before - check out https://jettydive.com.au/solitary-islands-half-day-dive.../ The cost for a boat dive is approximately $205 if you have your own equipment. For snorkelers and divers who do not have their own equipment the club can hire equipment to you at vary resonable prices or you can hire equipment from Jetty Dive on the day. If interested in attending, please mark going or interested and we will set up a chat to co-ordinate in more detail. There are a number of accommodation options available around Coffs Harbour. Please be aware this is a long weekend, so if attending, we suggest you book your accommodation early.

Due to poor weather last year we cancelled the Forster trip and have rescheduled it to the weekend of 22nd/23rd March. If people are interested in boat diving both days the cost of diving will be $160/day - so $320 the weekend. If those going are only interested the cost of boat diving will be $180/day. We will dive with Forster Dive Centre ( https://www.forsterdivecentre.com.au/ ) for boat dives. Check out there website for potential dive sites. We have had some excellent dives with Adam and his team over the years.
