Welcome to UNE Scuba & Snorkelling Club

UNE SCUBA exists to support both those wanting to become SCUBA divers and those already qualified in the Armidale area by helping to organise courses and trips; by providing SCUBA gear for hire; and being a hub for local Divers to meet.

We are a group supporting UNE students, staff, alumni and others in the Armidale area to partake in diving courses and trips to the Solitary Islands Marine Park and beyond. We are supported by Coffs Harbour Jetty Dive and Wooli Dive centres for our boating trips, and we hope to do more shore diving to help keep diving affordable. Furthermore, we can help members get their diving qualifications or, if already qualified, provide lots of opportunities for diving and snorkeling. We also have a wide variety of SCUBA gear that is available for hire to members, and the facility to fill our own air tanks.

Club membership fees are currently: - Learner (UNE Student) - $5 - Learner (non-UNE Student) - $15 - SCUBA Certified UNE Student - $10 - SCUBA Certified non-UNE Student $40 - Full kit hire for members - $30

This is a chance to try scuba out in a safe environment. Over the night we will show you the equipment, help you take your first breaths underwater and experience the sensation of scuba diving. The cost is $5 for UNE students and $10 for non-students. Once you sign up by securing a free ticket below we will email you with details about payment and confirming your spot.   Equipment required on the day is usual swimming attire and a tshirt to wear into the pool. All other equipment is supplied.   There is no need to be a strong swimmer but you do need to be comfortable in the water. We look forward to seeing you on the night

2 days of diving at South West Rocks. The club will plan saturday as shore diving/snorkelling and boat diving on the sunday (14th June) out to Fish Rocks (rated as one of the best dive sites in NSW). For boat diving we will use the South West Rocks Dive Centre (https://swrdive.com.au/). Please book ASAP directly with the dive centre to ensure your spot.  Cost for boat dives are $280. SWR has a number of accommodation options available. In the past the club have often used the Trial Bay campground (https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au/.../trial-bay-gaol...) as it is close to one of the potential shore dive sites. The dive centre also has accommodation available for those who do not like camping at reasonable prices. Or find something else that fits more your style. Feel free to join in on both days activities, or join for only one day and explore this area on the other day. Please let us know what days you plan to join us, and that you have booked your spot on the boat if diving Fish Rock
